President Maia Sandu met with Austrian Federal Chancellor Karl Nehammer yesterday evening on the sidelines of the Alpbach European Forum. The officials discussed our countries’ bilateral relations and Moldova's European course in the context of the obtaining of the EU candidate status.
The Head of State thanked the Austrian authorities for their support to Moldova's European integration process and for the support our country has received over the years through the Austrian Development Agency. The officials agreed to advance cooperation in the economic, environmental and energy sectors for the development of renewable energy. The two countries will also continue to implement regional infrastructure rehabilitation projects.
