Moldovan-Kazakh cooperation discussed for the first time by President Maia Sandu with Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev

The President of the Republic of Moldova, Maia Sandu, had a meeting with the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, at the UN headquarters in New York on Tuesday. The two Heads of State discussed topics of common interest on the bilateral agenda.

President Maia Sandu noted that our country is open to wider cooperation with Kazakhstan in the economic, energy and agricultural sectors. Likewise, she welcomed Kazakhstan's decision to deepen bilateral relations, by transforming the diplomatic mission in Chisinau from a Consulate General to an Embassy.
