Moldovan president meets Foreign Investors Association representatives

President Igor Dodon today had a meeting with Chairman of the Foreign Investors Association Alexander Koss and Mobiasbanca President - Groupe Societe Generale Ridha Tekaia.

The sides tackled issues related to the investment climate in Moldova, regulatory reforms, prospects for drawing investment etc.

The president said that over the past two years, including after signing the Association Agreement with EU, direct foreign investment flow decreased by 17 per cent in Moldova’s economy.

At the same time, Dodon proposed representatives of the association to become members of the economic council under the president.

The head of state said a national programme on social and economic development of the country would be elaborated in the near future, and invited the sides to actively participate in talks on the matter to set proposals on the areas of interest.
