President Maia Sandu met with Gunther Krichbaum today, a member of the CDU group in the Bundestag, and members of the CSU group in the German legislature, led by Alexander Dobrindt. Also today, the Head of State discussed with MEPs Dragoș Tudorache (Renew), the European Parliament's rapporteur for Moldova, and Iratxe García Pérez, leader of the Group of the Progressive Alliance of Socialists and Democrats (S&D).
The discussions were focused on the regional security challenges and the economic and humanitarian consequences of the war in Ukraine for the Republic of Moldova, as well as the reform agenda and our plans for advancing on the European path. The Head of State said that the authorities are determined to carry out the reforms initiated in various sectors, giving in such a way a new impetus to the European integration process.
