The President of the Republic of Moldova, Maia Sandu, had a meeting today with the President of the Grand National Assembly of the Republic of Turkey, Mustafa Şentop. The discussion focused on Moldovan-Turkish bilateral relations, the prospects for cooperation in various fields and the impact of the war in Ukraine on the region.
The Head of State thanked the Turkish authorities for their help in overcoming the refugee crisis, as well as for the financial and technical support provided over the years by the Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TIKA). President Maia Sandu also stressed that Moldova is interested in increasing trade and attracting investment, as well as strengthening cooperation in the energy sector.
