Moldovan president holds talks with parliamentary factions' leaders

President Nicolae Timofti on these days holds talks with heads of the parliamentary groups, in order to decide the consultations agenda as to designate a candidate for the office of prime minister, the presidential press service has reported.

Today, Timofti had separate meetings with the leaders of the Liberal Democratic Party’s and Democratic Party’s parliamentary factions, Vlad Filat and, respectively, Marian Lupu. The officials agreed on the speeding up of political talks on the creation of a pro-European coalition and identification of a candidate for the post of prime minister.

The faction of the Party of Communists informed Nicolae Timofti, via its leader Violeta Ivanov, the willingness to participate in consultations with him, under the agenda.

The meetings with the heads of the parliamentary groups of the Liberal Party and Party of Socialists are to be set.
