Moldovan president visits Mimi Castle tourist complex

President Nicolae Timofti on 6 July paid a visit to Mimi Castle (Castel Mimi) tourist Complex, presently under restoration.

The head of state took knowledge of the march of works carried out at the complex; he visited the cellars where the wine is aged in casks, to be bottled later, and discussed with employees. In this regard, the sides highlighted the authenticity of the region – the central area of Moldova – which is found in wines made at Mimi Castle. 

In the end, the president praised the spirit of initiative of people working at Mimi Castle, in order to promote traditional cultural values. 

In 1893, Constantin Mimi founded the first wine castle from Bessarabia in Bulboaca.
