President Maia Sandu met on Saturday with the head of Japanese diplomacy Yoshimasa Hayashi on the sidelines of her visit to Tokyo. The dialogue focused on the bilateral cooperation and the Moldovan-Japanese partnership.
The Head of State thanked for the assistance provided to our country in several key areas through the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) and stressed that we want to continue close relations with the Japanese side. In this context, President Maia Sandu said that Japan can help us strengthen our democracy through a stronger and more diverse economy, create more jobs and provide better living conditions for our citizens.
