President Maia Sandu welcomed the Prime Minister of Denmark, Mette Frederiksen, who stopped in Chisinau after a visit to Ukraine. "This is the first visit of a head of the Danish government to the Republic of Moldova and I am sure that this meeting will give a new impetus to bilateral relations and will strengthen our cooperation in the context of the European integration of the country," said President Maia Sandu.
The head of state noted that we have potential for cooperation in the fields of renewable energy and waste management, where Denmark is a recognised European leader. She also wants to increase economic exchanges and Danish investments in our country.
"Economic growth, trade, cooperation between countries - all these bring well-being to people and we are determined to continue our efforts to give our citizens a better life. But for development we need - above all - peace", concluded President Maia Sandu.
