The Head of State discussed the situation in the region with a group of British parliamentarians

President Maia Sandu met with a group of MPs from the Parliament of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, who are on a working visit to Chisinau. The discussion focused on the political, economic and security challenges our country is facing as a result of the Russian Federation's invasion of Ukraine, the consequences of the war for the region, as well as on the bilateral relations.

The Head of State expressed her appreciation for the dynamic cooperation between our countries in the economic, educational, security and defense sectors. President Maia Sandu also mentioned that the Republic of Moldova is interested in new partnerships with Great Britain, which would contribute to the development of trade and investment. The Head of State also expressed her interest for a closer cooperation between law enforcement institutions to fight corruption and bring to justice those who stole and removed state assets from the country.
