The President of the Republic of Moldova, Maia Sandu, met today with the Minister of State for Europe of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, Leo Docherty, who is on a working visit to Chisinau.
The officials discussed the possibilities for advancing the cooperation between the Republic of Moldova and the United Kingdom in the context of both regional security challenges and the energy crisis. President Maia Sandu stressed the importance of developing relations between our countries in the areas of trade, investment and the fight against corruption. She also thanked the UK for its support over the years in strengthening democracy in Moldova.
