The President of the Republic of Moldova, Maia Sandu, met on Friday with several members of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the Parliament of the Kingdom of the Netherlands, who were on a working visit to Chisinau. The discussion focused on our European agenda, the Moldovan-Dutch relations, the security situation in the region and the economic consequences of the war in Ukraine on Moldova.
The Head of State thanked the Kingdom of the Netherlands for the support it has provided over the years through various programmes in the social field and for the justice reform, energy security and development of independent media. President Maia Sandu appreciated the humanitarian aid provided by the Dutch authorities during the last months for a better management of the refugees’ flow from Ukraine.
President Maia Sandu also mentioned the commitment of our country's authorities to pursue the European integration process and expressed her hope that the Kingdom of the Netherlands would support the Republic of Moldova on this path.
