President Maia Sandu met with Gérard Larcher, President of the French Senate, during her visit to Paris. They discussed the developments in our region and the effects of the war in Ukraine on the Republic of Moldova.
The Head of State thanked Mr. Gérard Larcher for the aid provided by the French Republic in order to manage the humanitarian refugees’ crisis and overcome the consequences of the war, inflation and energy crisis, that the Republic of Moldova is coping with. "We also talked about Moldovan-French bilateral cooperation, including at parliamentary level, and I asked for France's support for our country's European path. We appreciate the constructive and dynamic dialogue we have with the French institutions and we wish to develop it further in the interest of our citizens", President Maia Sandu said.
