Presidency of the Republic of Moldova
Today, the President of the Republic of Moldova, Maia Sandu, awarded the "Order of Honor" to Jiří Našinec, a translator from Romanian to Czech. The distinction was conferred through a presidential decree in recognition of his outstanding achievements in the field of culture, substantial contribution to the promotion of our nation's spiritual values, remarkable successes in creative work, and high professional skills.
Jiří Našinec is a university professor and the most active Czech translator of writers from the Republic of Moldova. The head of state appreciated the translator's interest in the literature of our country and thanked him for promoting, through culture, the image of our country in the Czech Republic.
