Presidency of the Republic of Moldova
President Nicolae Timofti today signed a decree awarding the „Stefan cel Mare” Order to former Romanian President, Supreme Commander of Armed Forces Traian Basescu.
The distinction was given „as a token of deep gratitude for his significant contribution to promoting stability, security and democracy in the region and for constant support provided to Moldova to train staff in the defence, security and public order areas."
