The President of Moldova, Igor Dodon, visited the Chisinau Specialized Water Polo School No. 4 named after. Georgy Osipov, where he got acquainted with the preparation of this school for the International Water Polo Championship "President's Cup", which will be held in Moldova for the first time under the auspices of the President of the country on October 6 this year. Competitions will be attended by national teams from 5 countries: Kazakhstan, Romania, Belarus, Bulgaria and Moldova.
The head of state talked with the coaches, the school administration, and the athletes and was pleased that preparations for the Championship are proceeding according to the established schedule.
"Sport plays a crucial role in the development and promotion of the image of any state. I support and will continue to support the holding of sporting events in the Republic of Moldova. It is known that without healthy and educated community we cannot expect economic success.
I am sure that the first International Water Polo Championship "President's Cup" will be held successfully and will become a good tradition, „the President said.
