Presidency of the Republic of Moldova
President Nicolae Timofti met US Ambassador to Moldova James D. Pettit on 11 September.
Timofti conveyed compassion to the American nation on the day when victims of 11 September 2001 attacks are commemorated. Timofti said all states, which support democracy and human rights, should unite their forces to fight against terrorism.
The officials also addressed the evolution of recent public events in Moldova.
Pettit reiterated the USA's support for Moldova's pro-European path.
The sides also approached the Transnistrian conflict settlement by consensus of all parties involved in negotiations.
