Relations with Benelux discussed by the Head of State with the Prime Ministers of Belgium, Luxembourg and the Netherlands

The President of the Republic of Moldova, Maia Sandu, met on the sidelines of the Prague EPC Summit with the heads of government of the Benelux Economic Union - the Prime Minister of Belgium, Alexander De Croo, the Prime Minister of the Netherlands, Mark Rutte, and the Prime Minister of Luxembourg, Xavier Bettel.

The Head of State thanked for the support for Moldova’s EU candidate status and underlined that our country wants closer cooperation with the Benelux countries, including by increasing the exports of Moldovan products and attracting new investments. President Maia Sandu spoke about the consequences of the energy crisis for Moldova and the need to find rapid solutions that would lead to lower prices for energy resources on the European market.

President Maia Sandu also spoke about the actions taken by the institutions in Moldova to meet the EU conditions in order to advance to the next stage of the integration process.
