The Republic of Moldova handed over the completed questionnaire for accession to the European Union

The Republic of Moldova sent today to the European Union the completed questionnaire for accession, which was received from Brussels on 11 April. The questionnaire was handed over to the EU Ambassador in Chisinau Janis Mazeiks by Prime Minister Natalia Gavrilița, during a ceremony at the President’s Office which was attended by members of the National Committee for European Integration, established today by presidential decree. The Committee brings together representatives of state institutions and civil society and will coordinate efforts to prepare the country for accession to the European Union - Moldova's country project.

According to President Maia Sandu, our country is taking another step forward on the European integration path and for completing this project hard work and mobilisation of the whole society is required. "We are ready for this, because we want to offer our citizens a better life, with more opportunities, in a democratic society. A small and vulnerable country, the Republic of Moldova can have a more secure, peaceful and prosperous future in the family of European Union member states," the Head of State said.
