Presidency of the Republic of Moldova
The President of the Republic of Moldova Maia Sandu had several bilateral meetings in Athens today. The Head of State met with Mike Pompeo, former US Secretary of State, Yulia Tymoshenko, member of the Supreme Rada in Kyiv, and Francis Fukuyama, a well-known American sociologist and political scientist.
During the discussions, they addressed current issues regarding the situation in the Republic of Moldova and in the region. They also discussed the economic and security challenges faced by the countries neighbouring Ukraine, which has been resisting the Russian military invasion for over four months, and what measures the community can undertake in order to stop the war and restore peace.
