The Head of State discussed with the President of the European Commission

The military aggression in Ukraine and its impact on the Republic of Moldova and the countries in the region was the main topic of discussion that President Maia Sandu had this evening with Ursula von der Leyen, President of the European Commission.

The Head of State spoke with the European official about the measures taken by the authorities to ensure the security of the citizens and measures taken to manage the flow of refugees from Ukraine. Ursula von der Leyen underlined that the European Union will stand by the Republic of Moldova, including by providing assistance to ease the impact of the crisis on our country.
