The Head of State spoke in London with the Chancellor of the Duchy of Lancaster, the British Minister for Equality and Intergovernmental Relations

President Maia Sandu met today in London with Nadhim Zahawi, Chancellor of the Duchy of Lancaster, UK Minister for Equalities and Intergovernmental Relations. The officials discussed regional security and the challenges faced by Moldova and the whole European continent due to Russia's war in Ukraine.

The Head of State noted that the aim of the Chisinau authorities is to maintain peace and stability in the country, and to ensure the resilience of the economy and citizens in the face of the energy crisis, which is becoming more acute as winter approaches. The interlocutors also discussed possibilities for cooperation in the fields of energy, justice system reform and fight against corruption, disinformation and propaganda.
