Presidency of the Republic of Moldova
The President of the Republic of Moldova Maia Sandu had a telephone conversation this morning with the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev.
The two Heads of State discussed developments in the region and the impact of the security crisis on the Republic of Moldova, as well as our country's efforts to manage the flow of refugees from Ukraine, including the repatriation of Azerbaijani citizens. Officials have expressed support for restoring peace in the region.
The discussion agenda also covered the actions needed to enhance the economic resilience of our country, including by strengthening the bilateral trade and cooperation in the energy sector.
